Blending. I hope.

So we've been moving in.

I'd share pictures of the process but I don't want to make permanent reminders of the mess. Or something like that. Piles of stuff are getting shifted from room to room as I try to organize... when I need to feel calm I go into the girls' room and sit in their cleanliness (after I make their beds - when do kids learn to do it and actually follow through?).

Sean and I got a new dining table. The family table I picked up from my cousin on the way to SC didn't fit well. Plus - it was pretty much impossible to push the chairs under it or sit at it without straddling a table leg. And Sean insists that the table he had is not okay for inside - only okay for the dog porch.

So I'm thinking when the girls (and Alan) want to get crafty I'm going to send them outside to this table so the new pretty table doesn't get marker marks on it for awhile.

As I'm moving our stuff over, it's starting to feel like we're taking over the house. And that's not what I want to feel. He pushed the coffee table out of the living room so the kids could dance to Christmas songs the other night - maybe if I put it back the living room will look more of a blend and less of mine transplanted. If I could only move these boxes out of the way that I've brought over full of kitchen stuff...

Maybe I should get back to work.
