Jumping In

Yesterday was my first time at the neighborhood pool for the season. The girls had gone once before with a friend down the street. Then this morning Alan and I went back.
It's... refreshing.

You may notice the very tall brown fence in the background. The Home Owner's Association sprung for a new fence and key system - to try to cut down on the vandalism in and around the pools. I think this fence is prettier than the blue, shorter one. And the magnetic key card makes opening the door easier when your hands are loaded with pool stuff and the kids are running off. Even so, I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the teenagers figure out how to get over the new fence, too.
