First Day

The girls were ready for school by 6:45. No fighting at all.

They caught the bus right outside the house. I stalled them until 7:00 and they waited, mostly patiently, until the bus showed up - about 7:30 and 15 minutes late.

But they were all smiles after school, too. And hearing them talk about it made Alan decide he does want to go to school afterall.

We celebrated with some marble cake - that came nicely out of the pan and they all enjoyed - although I heard a lot about the Ming-Ming Cupcakes (with frosting and taffy) that they made at Dad's while they ate.

It was a very good first day.
