The Palmetto Trail

Our first hike was today. We did part of the Palmetto Trail. The girls took notebooks along and made notes of what we saw. Julia came home and started drawing the things on her list. We didn't pick a long part. And it wasn't too strenuous.

But it was pretty. And we saw some nice things.

Even 2 trains. One went by just after we crossed these tracks. Alan was awed.

The destination was at the top of this hill.
Lake Moultrie.

No whining. No complaining. No one said I'm tired - this is boring - I want to go back.

It was a fun afternoon. And to celebrate we make a cake. Lemon. Happy Day.
