About 30 minutes out of Greenville the snow started.
Then instead of just snow on the trees we had trees on the road.
And I've never seen so many cars abandoned on the side of the road. I'm thinking most of the people got caught in the bad weather the night before, but not ignoring the possibility that some might have just slid off more recently. So I spent a good bit of the trip engrossed in my book - Water for Elephants.
And then before I knew it we'd been to Sean's mom's. We'd been to see his grandparents in Oak Ridge, and we were at his MaMaw's for the family party. Where big burly men who make delicious fudge fed sweets to little angels.
It was lovely.
