Roller Skating

Oliver and Heather gave Alan roller skates for his birthday. He loves them. Sean and Hamza took Alan to the skating rink last week. (The girls were supposed to go, but they didn't get to because they didn't go to sleep very well the night before... I hope they learned a lesson because I hated that they missed it.)Alan had only had the skates for about a week. But he'd been practicing in the neighbor's empty driveway and doing pretty well balancing.
and getting pretty fast.
Not to mention proud of himself. The big boys couldn't keep up.

I expected it to be more expensive to skate, too, but on school days it's only $3 for 2 hours of skating that includes skate rental. The cost more than doubles on the weekend and then you have to pay for your own rental. Hm.
