Julia's Smile Party

I am not the social butterfly of the family. So luckily we have Julia to throw parties and keep us all entertained. This time it was a concert to celebrate the end of the school year. She cooked up the party with my mom - who maybe expected me to veto the party, but really all I need is a little push every now and then to play hostess.

Julia picked about 10 songs - from the country genre this time. The show was started and finished with Uncle Kracker's song Smile. We had just the right number of friends come over.
And a few moms came to be part of the audience. Then we had hotdogs and the kids ran around awhile.
One of the girls slept over with Julia... they stayed up late and she slept most of the afternoon yesterday to recuperate. I'd call the whole thing a big success.

Next week the kids get to go to Oliver's and take part in the move to DC.
