End of Vacation

The kids are back. I drove to get them in NC yesterday, passing some old haunts along the way. We met just past the outlet mall where I used to go with friends when Julia and Holly were little and we lived near Fayetteville.

This morning Alan asked me if some people can just skip kindergarten. I thought he meant go straight to first grade, because that's how my mind works. And I said maybe some do, but I'm not sure. He said, "Let's do that, because I just want to stay home with you."
