**Update Again** - Today when I offered to walk in with Alan he said okay. Then, "How about the girls take me so I won't miss you?" Okay. I guess. "But be at the bus stop to meet us!" Deal.
Today Alan didn't want to go to school.
I should have seen it coming since he kept saying yesterday that no, he wasn't really excited or looking forward to going back to school today. Then it was hard for him to wake up at 6:15.
He said he didn't feel good.
Me either. No fever, no vomit. Having to do something you don't want to do can make you feel bad though.
Then we were 5 minutes later than usual out the door.
And my patience is less when I'm staring down a time limit trying to get somewhere on time.
I didn't feel like I had the time to coddle him and coax him into being happy.
All I could think to say was that he had to go to school. It wasn't my rule or decision.
And I had to leave him with his head in his hands in the line today.
I don't feel so good.

That's tough. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day? Did he end up having a good time?
It's so hard trying to convince kids that school will be fun. I hope he ends up liking it.
