Integrity

My mom and I went to a shoe store the other day.  A woman in line after my mom had a box of shoes and a receipt and as Mom and I were getting our stuff and baby situated to walk out in the rain I listened to the woman talk to the cashier.

She put the shoes on the counter and said, "I bought these shoes the other day, and I still want them.  But you didn't charge me enough.  See, here's what you charged me, and here's what the box says and I had a 20% coupon."

I swear.

The woman took a pair of shoes back to the shoe store IN THE RAIN and wanted to pay more money for them.

I want to be that kind of person.  I have a feeling though, I'd have stayed home, warm and dry, a little pleased to have gotten a special deal.

That kind of honesty is hard to find. My hat is off.

Your grandfather would do that. As a matter of fact I've been with him when he did.
