The Blue Sock Invitation

If you or anyone you know would like to come pull the needles out of my sock, would you please come over now? This time ALAN did it! Luckily I was close by to witness it. Luckily, too, I grabbed him/the sock before he got more than one needle out. And, having to put the needle back in revealed that I made an extra stitch joining new yarn when my working yarn had a split in it. I thought it didn't look right in that spot. I suppose you could call it a learning experience. IF I hadn't already started the thing over so many times before I would have ripped back to where the join was and redone it. But it was a good 2 inches back and my heart just couldn't take it. If it wasn't enough that the yarn split in the first place... I think I'll go ahead with the heel flap and make this the first of a sock trio. It's probably unlucky to wear as is.
