A little something knitted

Obviously I'm not doing a good job of blogging lately.    The kids and I headed out late Saturday to get some new church clothes - we joined our church last year but haven't been attending regularly lately and most of their church clothes were too small.  We went to a friend's daughter's Catholic baptism Sunday morning and both girls needed some church clothes for events in the next few weeks.

Alan picked out a sweater vest. He really wanted a Halloween one, but the only ones in Belk were Christmas sweaters.  He requested his raccoon get a vest as well, and since I know these days are numbered, I spent Monday morning making a sweater vest for a Webkinz.  You can tell from the picture that I made up the pattern as I knitted, but it made my boy happy.

In other news - Julia is getting ready for her own cell phone, which is probably coming her way on her birthday even though I'm reluctant to hand over a phone she can call her own.  I admit I'm a little stuck in the 80's.  She's made herself a signature on the cell phone we use as a home phone (slowly moving out of the 80's):

Julia wuz here. LOL!!!

Maybe I'm just having trouble letting her grow up.  I wish she was still begging me to knit her dolls clothes I guess...
