Alan's Birthday

Alan turned 4 over the weekend. He got up on Saturday, put on his party hat, opened his family gifts, and waited for his party to start - at 3 pm. The girls have been planning his party for a few weeks. It included a show:

The guests all seemed to enjoy themselves... even the adult guests. Aside from the cake and pizza, it felt a little like a regular play day to me... but I guess that's a good thing - no stress.

Earlier in the week Alan received his own treehouse in the mail from Oliver's mom, including paper dolls of him and the girls.

And he came a little closer to mastering riding the bike with just 2 wheels. He really doesn't want to fall over - or like to come close to falling over. I think he's like Holly in that sense. He's probably going to wait until he can ride fast all the way around the block before he seriously attempts the bike without training wheels.

And in other goings on around here, the cat has taken over Lucky's bed for daytime naps.
