The other day while I was making totes, the girls disappeared into the den for awhile. Julia found a stack of pictures - extras - that I'd intended to use for scrapbook pages or something. And she took it upon herself to create some albums:
Yesterday we dyed eggs. It was a little rainy, so we did it inside this year. Each child got 8 eggs. I was worried they'd complain it wasn't enough, but they made the most of their 8.
And even used watercolors to decorate some. It stretched out the decorating a lot, which was nice.
All in all it was fun. Julia drew some nice images on hers with crayon before dyeing them. I was impressed at how clearly the images came out. I think the ones I drew on them last year were not nearly as nice.
What fun! I have an Easter cookie recipe I'll have to send you for next year (given to us by "Reverend Alice" - our youth minister). It tells a neat story as you go through the process of making them...
