Yesterday on the way to school Holly and Julia were bickering. Holly would say something to Julia and Julia would bite back at her. Julia asked if we could go to church on Sunday. I've been out of town and they haven't been in awhile. I said we could, and Julia said that she wants their friend from down the street to go with us. She apparently has already invited the friend. Holly then piped up that she doesn't want the friend to go with them because the day before, the friend and Julia had left her out of their game. Turns out it was the friend who didn't want Holly to play, but Julia went along. And once Holly said that Julia just kept talking ugly at her, insisting the friend would be going with us and Holly had no say in it.
I asked Julia what she was mad about.
She said she felt like a bad sister for not letting Holly play the day before.
Interesting how we take out our anger at ourselves on the people around us.
