Getting Settled

We moved in. Unloaded. Unboxed. And I've been cleaning. There is a duck pond just down the street and the ducks like to wander to our yard and ask for handouts. We've been to the beach. Went to a baseball game. Made it to a wedding this weekend in Charlotte and got to spend a fun evening with family. Today we went fishing with a friend.

Holly was great at casting from pretty much the first cast. Alan liked to move his bait around a lot. But he was the master crab catcher for the day.

Julia probably caught the most of all of us. She got a few fish and a sting ray.

We caught a few fish that croaked and this pretty fish:

Here's the blue crab. Alan caught one 2 or 3 times and we never got it on the dock, but when it jumped on Holly's line we managed to get a picture. It was really pretty.

I think we like it here at the beach.
