We tried out an Episcopal church for the first time last Sunday and this past week the church had a vacation Bible school that the kids got to attend. They missed Monday, but the director called me Monday afternoon to say they had room and on Tuesday everyone was very excited to go.
Julia made 3 girl friends. Holly made at least one. Alan seemed to mostly play with the teachers and had a few days of not wanting to stay at first, but everyone was very talkative at the end of the day showing what they'd made and telling stories about all they'd done.
Friday afternoon Julia went home with one of her new friends and they brought her back to the fish fry end of camp celebration that night. She was exhausted. But all in all it was a fun week.

I have no doubt Alan really needs a preschool this fall. (Here he's carrying a piece of my vacuum cleaner he likes to use as a fishing pole and a new trash can he got while we were running errands before going back to get the girls.)

Earlier in the week Holly made a crown for Bugsy (formerly known as Cactus) which Bugsy very patiently wore. For longer than I thought he would.
