Sewing some...

I got out my sewing maching a few weeks ago and mended a few clothes that had been piling up. I started to make some Halloween totes with some ghost fabric my friend Marianne picked up for me in Korea years and years ago. When the girls came in off the school bus they actually screamed, "Mom's sewing again!" and started requesting things like doll clothes and dress-up dresses.

Today I finished the totes and made these curtains for the kitchen windows: I got cold Sunday night. And I decided I should probably hang some curtains up in an effort to retain the heat in the house. The windows are single panes and many are missing the caulking that holds the glass to the frame. The good news is that the landlord and a window guy were out last week and the owners will be replacing the windows... sometime.
