Snow

This morning the snow was pretty. Last night...
driving home from Georgia as the snow travelled eastward...

I wanted to hate it...

but it was hard.
I've missed snow. I thought snow in Alaska would be hard to deal with. But it wasn't. At least, not too bad. We just lived with it.
Putting on snow pants to check the mail was no big deal.
Once the snow was down, driving was usually okay.
In September when it first fell and melted, and in the spring when it finally melted away, it was less fun to deal with. And that's what it was like last night. Sort of.
Snow blowing into the windshield and covering the lane lines... stupid people passing and throwing slush up to blind me...
I was happy to make it home. And a little sad the kids get to enjoy the snow with Oliver and his wife Heather and 2 of her boys and Grandma Sarah in Alabama while I got to watch Sean make a snowman alone. But it was nice to sleep in this morning and not scrounge for snow outfits. And just imagine the mud they would have tracked in all day...
Hm.
I'm sure they're making the most of it in Alabama this weekend. I hope they made a snowman.

I feel totally dumb founded that Oliver is married. Hm, oh well!

The snow is really beautiful and I find myself missing it a little more each winter day!! I bet the kids are loving it.
