to the Circus!

I took the kids to the Cole Bros. Circus last night.

Tigers jumped through hoops and walked on cans. Elephants walked around the ring and posed for us. Clowns entertained us (especially Alan and especially when their car broke in half and drove off). Dogs and a pony paraded for us. One superdog climbed a ladder and jumped into a woman's blanketed arms. There were trapeze artists, a woman who did a hand stand on one finger, and lots more.

I don't know that I could pick a favorite act. My least favorite was the ATVs and the motorcycles who rode in a sphere at the end. It was scary enough with one motorcycle in the sphere, but they worked up to 3 in there - one of them being an 11 year old girl. Made me nervous.

I loved the acts with animals. And the ones with people swinging around. Alan liked the car that broke in half and the human cannonball.

The kids got to ride an elephant. Alan, who usually cries when he gets on a pony, loved it. So did the girls. Holly was glad she wasn't in front. Alan was. They shared a $5 cotton candy. Holly got an elephant balloon on a stick. Alan got a light saber. Julia didn't want a souvenir. And she told me more than once, Thanks for taking us to the circus, Mommy.

That made it worth every penny. (Even though I had as much fun as they did!)

you should probably skip Ringling Bros, then, they put 6 riders in the sphere and the cotton candy is $12!!!
