Long Weekend

The kids have been spending the weekend with Oliver. Sean's been working. I've been knitting.

I have some yarn leftover from an old project and decided to try to make a quick shrug/mini cardigan for the girls. The last time I was in the local yarn shop I found a varigated yarn that coordinated with my leftovers and I bought a couple of skeins to play with.
The pattern is Sweet Little Nothing that I found on Ravelry. It's supposed to close with one snap, and I played with the idea of adding in buttonholes and all, but decided to see how the fit is first. I had to size down the pattern, hoping to fit the girls. And I say girls because I expect if it fits one it will fit the other - I may make one for each, or make a variation of it so they can each think they have one... Here it is fresh off the needles:
But I really want to see what it looks like on one of them first. It was a quick knit, but not that quick.
